A yurt warming hut will be placed on a temporary deck. A second yurt will be provided for ski patrol, safety and avalanche personnel. All structures will be removed every June 10th. Summertime users of Bear Creek will see no trace of wintertime skiing.
Bear Creek At Telluride Ski Resort will encompass approximately 1,300 acres of world-class adventure skiing. The highest ski area in North America -- the highest point, the highest base. Near 2,000 feet of vertical elevation. With short quick heli-lifts from the warming hut, ski 15,000 vertical feet per day, or more. Reliable deep powder snow. No trees, no cut-out trails. Dramatic sweeping lines, steep and deep couloirs, cliffs, bowls, and all levels of expert, advanced and even intermediate skiing. "The Creek" has it all.
The ski area permit application will exclude any upper basin private lands not owned, leased, or licensed by Bear Creek at Telluride Ski Resort, L.P., “The Creek” Associates, L.P., General Partner. Co-investors will be considered and could include Telluride area commercial ski outfitters, other interested local investors, or out of state investors. If the ski area permit idea is not acceptable, click here to review the 1-17-13 Press Release describing the private use alternative plan -- private home construction, patrolled property boundaries and essentially upper Bear Creek becomes a private ski area for the homeowner.
To enter the Bear Creek At Telluride Ski Resort private lands shown on the map, each individual must register. Non-authorized entry will be considered trespass. Please download, print and carry the Release, Waiver Of Liability, Covenant Not To Sue, Hold Harmless & Indemnification Agreement on your person.
